2006 Marching Band Year in Review
The Marching Mustangs completed their competition for the 2006 season at the State of Illinois Invitational High School Marching Band Championships at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. The Mustangs performed in Class 4A with many area wide Marching Bands from all over the State. The Mustangs performance was excellent with scores just shy getting them in to the finals.

Mustangs prove to be strong competition 9-17-06
The Marching Mustangs had a tremendous year in competition.
At Sandwich, Illinois the Mustangs took 1st Place in Class AA in Parade Review, Best Horn Line, Drum line and Color Guard while our Drum Majors took 2nd Place. In September, at St. Rita's Stampede in Chicago the Marching Mustangs captured 1st place for Best winds and 1st Place in it's Class while winning 2nd Place overall in the competition. 2006 Marching Show "Passion"
The 2006 show was called "Passion" and featured songs by several French composers with music from "Carmen" including; Carmen Opener, Intermezzo, Carmen Soup and Bacchanal. The performance featured a flute solo from Tracy Moore and a Color Guard solo by Emily Miller.
