Winter Color Guard takes third at State
Congratulations to the RMHS Winter Color Guard on their
great performances in the Team Dance Illinois State
Contest held this past Sunday at the Peoria, Il Civic
Center. In the Short Flag category, the RMHS squad
closed the gap to come in 3rd place. In some of the
tightest competition at State, the top three teams in
the Lyrical Flag category were all within a .7
separation of each other. With that in mind, Rolling
Meadows came in 3rd. Both placements of the squad are
even more impressive considering that most of the other
schools have a JV and Varsity and Rolling Meadows only
has Varsity. Congratulations ladies on a great season
full of outstanding performances!!

highest score of the season, " claims head coach,
Christopher Buti. "Even though we were disappointed in
the placement, we felt great about the job they did on
the performance floor," he further adds. In Lyrical
Flag, RMHS also took second. The scores were as follows:
1st place Palatine, 2nd place Rolling Meadows, 3rd place
Schaumburg and 4th place Hoffman Estates. "Especially
considering all of the teams in this category have JV
squads and we don't, we were very happy with our final
