Music Boosters need volunteers to fill
positions
Many of the senior parents
have moved on because their child graduated this year. I thank those parents for all of their time and efforts that have
helped keep the Music Boosters as a strong supporting force for the Band,
Orchestra, and Color Guard programs at RMHS! With that in mind, I am
asking for all parents to please consider helping out with the Music
Boosters in any way that they possibly can. Please look over the following
list and consider volunteering for a position. Your assistance with one of
these areas will be of great benefit to all of our students. Thank you in
advance for your support of the RMHS Music Department! Contact
Ken
Soens.

Garage Sale set for Saturday
September 12th
What
a great time to clean-out your closets and participate in our annual Music
Boosters Garage Sale. 100% of your sales dollars will go in to your account.
Music Students can kick off their fundraising efforts early. It's a fun
day... So turn that stuff sitting in your garage, basement and closets in to
CA$H! Remember 2010 is a Music Department Spring break trip year to Disney
World in Orlando, Florida.
New District ruling concerning
Chaperones
The District has
informed us that all parents MUST be fingerprinted if they are
going to be riding to an event as a chaperone with the Music Department.
There are no exceptions. To be clear…NOT VOLUNTEERS but chaperones. This
is a District wide ruling not specific to us or our department but everyone
who chaperones students. We will share more details about this shortly.
We’re told that even if you have been fingerprinted previously for other
districts or functions or by your employer; only District # 214
fingerprinting will be accepted.
There is a little processing time frame here, so if you plan on chaperoning
any future events you need to let us know soon and allow sufficient time to
get fingerprinted, processed and approved otherwise, you cannot ride on any
busses to School sponsored events within the Music Department.
We
will need chaperones in the Fall to travel with the band to our competitions
and during the Spring Break trip next year. If you would like to get the
ball rolling contact Mary Luckritz our Fine & Performing Arts Coordinator at
847-718-5693 or Mr. Buti at 847-718-5752
